KTM has launched the updated 200 Duke in India, adding new electronic features to its popular naked streetfighter. The latest update arrives just hours after the motorcycle was teased on the company's social media channels. Priced at Rs 2.07 lakh (ex-showroom), the updated model costs just Rs 1,500 more than before.
Key Highlights:
  • The updated KTM 200 Duke has been launched in India at Rs 2.07 lakh (ex-showroom).
  • The motorcycle gets a bi-directional quickshifter, ride-by-wire throttle and switchable traction control.
  • It is available in two new colour options, including Liquid Carbon and Slate Grey.
  • The 199.5cc engine continues to produce 24.67 bhp and 19.3 Nm of torque.
The biggest changes include a bi-directional quickshifter, ride-by-wire throttle and switchable traction control. The motorcycle also gets two new colour options and revised right-side switchgear, while its engine and mechanical components remain unchanged.

Updated KTM 200 Duke: Features

The updated KTM 200 Duke now comes with a ride-by-wire throttle system, which enables two ride modes: Street and Rain. These modes allow riders to choose between different throttle responses depending on riding conditions.
The motorcycle also gets switchable traction control, which helps manage rear-wheel slip in different conditions. Another key addition is the bi-directional quickshifter, allowing riders to shift gears up and down without using the clutch.
The TFT instrument display now shows information related to the ride modes, traction control and quickshifter. The bike also gets Crawl Assist, a feature designed to make riding in slow-moving traffic easier and help reduce rider fatigue.
KTM has also redesigned the right-side switchgear with a layout similar to the one seen on the 390 Duke. The left-side switchgear appears to remain unchanged.

Updated KTM 200 Duke: Colour Options

The updated KTM 200 Duke is available in two new colour options: Liquid Carbon and Slate Grey. Liquid Carbon introduces an all-black finish to the motorcycle for the first time. Slate Grey offers another styling option for buyers looking for a different appearance.

Updated KTM 200 Duke: Engine and Performance

The KTM 200 Duke continues to use a 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It produces 24.67 bhp and 19.3 Nm of torque and is paired with a six-speed gearbox. While the new electronic features improve the motorcycle's equipment list, KTM has not made any changes to the engine output as part of this update.
The motorcycle retains its existing suspension and braking components. It gets a WP upside-down front fork and a WP rear monoshock.
Braking duties are handled by a 300mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc. The updated model also retains a ground clearance of 135mm, a seat height of 822mm and a kerb weight of 159kg.
The latest update focuses more on electronic features, adding a quickshifter, ride modes and traction control while keeping the engine and cycle parts unchanged. With a price increase of just Rs 1,500, the updated 200 Duke gets additional technology without a significant change in its asking price.
