2025 KTM 1390 Super Adventure R Unveiled Globally: Full Details Revealed

KTM has unveiled the 2025 KTM 1390 Super Adventure R, an off-road-focused motorcycle designed for challenging terrains. With key updates to its engine, suspension, electronics and bodywork.

The 2025 KTM 1390 Super Adventure R engine engine has been replaced from the 1,300 cc to the new 1,350 cc engine mated to a 6 speed gear box that puts out 171 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 145 Nm at 8,000 rpm. It also gets CAMSHIFT technology, a variable-valve timing system, for low-speed riding at higher RPM's. This system adjusts valve timing and lift based on engine speed, optimizing response for both off-road trails and open highways.

Unlike the Super Adventure S and S EVO, the 2025 KTM 1390 Super Adventure R comes equipped with a 48 mm WP XPLOR split cartridge fork, WP XPLOR Progressive Damping System (PDS) shock and an reinforced crash bar with an added arm for engine protection. These components cater to tougher off-road conditions. The frame has been stiffened for better handling and stability.

The motorcycle features redesigned bodywork, including a shorter windshield for better off-road visibility, LED lighting and additional storage compartments. Additionally, it gets a new 8-inch vertical touchscreen dashboard, equipped with anti-glare and anti-fingerprint coatings, supports built-in navigation, connectivity, and ride mode customization. The screen is designed for easy operation, even with gloves.

The 2025 KTM 1390 Super Adventure R will enter production in Austria and is expected to be available in markets by early 2025.
