Hyundai And Kia On Track To Surpass 100,000 EV Sales By October 2024

Hyundai Motor Co. and its subsidiary Kia Corp. are on track to reach over 100,000 electric vehicle sales by the end of October 2024. According to data from Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai and Kia recorded a combined EV sales of 91,348 units from January 2024 till September 2024, showing a growth of 30.3% when compared to the same period in 2023. Hyundai sold 48,297 units that showed a YoY growth of 4.5% while Kia's EV sales increased by by 80.3%, reaching 43,051 units. Analysts expects that the cumulative EV sales to cross 120,000 by the year end.

On October 9, Hyundai Motor India announced plans to broaden its EV portfolio in both the mass and premium market segments. Hyundai is planning to introduce the electric version of there top selling car, Creta SUV. Hyundai is set to launch the electric version of Creta in the fourth quarter of this fiscal year. The company also has plans to introduce four additional EV models over the next few years.

Hyundai Motor India Limited IPO to open on October 15, The Hyundai Motor India Limited IPO price band has been fixed in the range of Rs 1,865 to Rs 1,960 per equity share of the face value of Rs 10. The company said that its Anchor Investor Bidding Date will be one working day before the Offer is open to the public; i.e. October 14th 2024 and the bid for the same will close on October 17th 2024.
