New Maruti Suzuki Dzire Launched At Rs 6.79 lakh: Variants, Features, Specs

The new-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire is available in four trim levels, namely LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+, further bifurcated into nine variants. It continues to be available with petrol and CNG powertrain options.

Maruti Suzuki India has launched the new-gen Dzire at a starting price of Rs 6.79 lakh, that goes up to Rs 10.14 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom) for the top-end trim. The new Dzire gets a new design inside-out, a new Z-series engine as well as a host of additional equipment over the model it replaces.

New Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Engine, Gearbox

Maruti Suzuki has equipped the new Dzire with its Z Series 1.2L, three-cylinder engine that debuted on the new Swift earlier this year. This engine makes 81bhp and 112Nm torque - 8bhp and 1Nm lower than the four-cylinder engine seen on the old Dzire. It continues to be offered with an optional factory-fit CNG kit. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard for both, while there's also an optional 5-speed AMT with the petrol version.

The features on offer with the new Dzire include a new 9-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, a first-in-class electric sunroof, LED headlamps, a wireless charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, auto climate control, cruise control, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, Arkamys Surround sound and more.

Safety suite consists of standard six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, a tyre pressure monitoring system, hill hold assist and ISOFIX child seat anchor points. The new Dzire was recently crash tested by Global NCAP, earning Maruti's first 5-star safety rating.
