Aprilia SXR GT 125, 175 Unveiled Ahead of India Launch; Bookings Open
Aprilia has introduced the SXR GT 125 and SXR GT 175 scooters in India. The SXR GT 175 gets a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth and navigation capabilities, while the SXR GT 125 features a 5-inch LCD.

Aprilia has unveiled the new SXR GT 125 and SXR GT 175 in India ahead of their market launch. The updated scooters get larger 14-inch wheels, revised engines, updated graphics and new colour options. The SXR GT 175 also gets a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. Bookings for both scooters are now open at authorised Aprilia dealerships across India. The company has not announced their prices yet, with the official launch expected later this month.
Aprilia SXR GT 125, SXR GT 175: What's New?
The SXR GT range continues with Aprilia's signature Tripod LED headlamp, while the bodywork gets revised graphics and colour schemes. The biggest hardware change is the introduction of 14-inch wheels on both scooters. The previous SXR models used 12-inch wheels. The larger wheels are aimed at improving stability and ride quality, particularly over uneven road surfaces and during longer rides.
The SXR GT 125 will be available in Matte Black, Glossy Azzurro and Glossy White. The SXR GT 175 gets Metallic Blue, Matte Black and Matte Green paint options. The 175cc version also gets additional footboard graphics inspired by Aprilia's GT range.
Aprilia SXR GT 125, SXR GT 175: Engine
The SXR GT 175 gets a 174.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with a three-valve SOHC setup and electronic fuel injection. It produces 13bhp and 14.14Nm of torque. The smaller SXR GT 125 uses a 124.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. It develops around 10bhp and 10.4Nm of torque. Both engines are compatible with E20 petrol and comply with BS6 OBD II Stage B emission standards.

The SXR GT 175 gets a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. The system supports music and call management along with navigation and turn-by-turn directions.
The SXR GT 125 gets a 5-inch LCD instrument cluster. This makes the TFT display and connected functions exclusive to the larger 175cc version.
Aprilia SXR GT 125, SXR GT 175: Brakes & Suspension
The SXR GT 175 gets a 220mm front disc brake with ABS and a 140mm rear drum brake. The SXR GT 125 also gets a 220mm front disc and 140mm rear drum, but uses a Combined Braking System (CBS) instead of ABS. Both scooters use telescopic front forks and dual-effect hydraulic rear shock absorbers with five-step adjustment.
