Volkswagen Virtus GT Line 1.0L TSI Reaches Showrooms: First Look And Key Features

Volkswagen has launched the 1.0L GT Line version of its top selling sedan Virtus. Previously only 1.5L EVO engine was present with the GT badge which is still there but at a higher price point. Volkswagen launched the 1.0L TSI variant at a starting price of Rs 14.07 lakh (ex-showroom) for the manual version and Rs 15.18 lakh for the automatic.

The New Virtus GT Line is powered by a 1.0L TSI produces 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque mated with either a 6 speed manual or a 6 speed automatic gearbox.

The new 1.0L TSI Virtus GT Line introduces several design and cosmetic updates that sets it apart from its lower variants. It features fully blacked-out LED headlights, a dark front grille and a black spoiler, there is no chrome element to be seen at the front or at the rear end. There are also black highlights on the window bars, rear-view mirrors and Virtus badging all around the car. Additionally it gets 16 inch black alloy wheels that are offered in 1.5L GT version.

On the inside, the Virtus GT Line gets the sporty theme with an all-black interior. The dashboard gets a gloss black finish and aluminium pedals. Other features include a 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and red ambient lighting.

In terms of safety Safety it features six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) and hill hold control. Additional it gets, features include a tyre pressure monitoring system, traction control and fog lamps for enhanced visibility.
