E3 Electric.ai Fast Tracks EV Development For India, Aims 1 Billion Revenue
E3 Electric.ai recently announced the calibration of its prototype vehicles in 90 days post its launch. The company intends to achieve Rs 8,000 crore (approximately $1 billion) in revenue by 2030 with its AI-powered electric scooters designed for India’s mass two-wheeler market.
The company’s vision is to enable human progression through electric vehicles that are intelligent, reliable, affordable, safe, and sustainable. Focused on millions of Indians who rely on 110cc petrol scooters but lack viable EV options, the AI-integrated electric scooters are purpose-built to deliver smart features, reliability, and lower ownership costs.
“Calibrating our prototype within just 90 days is not a milestone—it’s a mindset. It reflects the urgency, clarity, and conviction with which we’re tackling India’s toughest EV challenges. From safety to service, from affordability to intelligence—we’re engineering solutions that bring real impact to real people. Our mission is to make clean, AI-powered mobility a fundamental right and true innovation isn’t about the next feature—it’s about the next billion lives,” P. Sanjeev, Co-Founder and CEO, E3 Electric.ai, said.
With this approach, E3 scooters are projected to reduce total cost of ownership by 43 to 49% over five years compared to ICE scooters. The running cost is an estimated Rs 0.15/km compared to petrol’s Rs 2/km. Additionally, the maintenance is up to 75% cheaper due to fewer moving parts and a modular system. AI-powered diagnostics also increase residual value and reduce downtime.
E3 has filed 13 patents spanning AI safety, battery design, and fleet tech. Its smart scooters feature real-time diagnostics, predictive battery analytics, and a mobile-as-cluster system—ideal for India’s more than 1 billion smartphone users by FY26. With millennials forming 77% of India by 2030, E3 targets one million units sold, EBITDA profitability by FY28, and more than 1,000 showrooms across over 600 towns. E3’s AI-monitored batteries are OCPP/OCPI-compliant, supporting home/public charging. Fleet solutions include predictive maintenance and real-time tracking.
