Gangs Of Wasseypur Director Anurag Kashyap Purchases This Electric SUV

Anurag Kashyap who is a well known name in the B-Town and profoundly known for his creations like Gangs of Wasseypur, Black Friday, Dev D and more. He recently shared an update on his Instagram social account that he has purchased a Mahindra XEV9e.

Mahindra launched its new age electric SUVs, XEV 9e and BE 6 based on the company’s new INGLO architecture in India last year. Both these SUVs made their official debut in the country back on November 27th 2025. Mahindra introduced the XEV 9e in four broad variants - Pack One, Pack Two, Pack Three Select and Pack Three. Booking for which officially opened on 14th February.

The Mahindra XEV 9e has been introduced in an ex-showroom price range of Rs 21.90 to 30.50 lakh. Here are detailed variant-wise price and delivery details:

• XEV 9e Pack One 59 kWh priced at Rs 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and its deliveries begin from August 2025.
• XEV 9e Pack Two 59 kWh priced at Rs 24.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and its deliveries begin from July 2025.
• XEV 9e Pack Three Select 59 kWh priced at Rs 27.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and its deliveries begin from June 2025.
• XEV 9e Pack Three 79 kWh priced at Rs 30.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and its deliveries began in mid-March 2025.

According to the delivery dates that were shared by Mahindra earlier, It is likely to be the Pack Three 79 kwh version of XEV 9e that Anurag Kashyap has opted. This version of the electric SUV will be powered by a 79 kwh battery pack that makes 281.6 bhp and 380 Nm of torque and offers MIDC certified driving range of 656 km on a single charge. The electric SUV measures 4,789 mm in length 1,907 in width and 1,694 in height and offers a ground clearance of 207mm. It also offers a boot space of 663 litres and also has a frunk with a storage capacity of 150 liters.

In the recent BNCAP crash test results the XEV 9e has achieved 5-Star safety ratings. It bagged 5-star safety ratings for adult occupant protection and 5-star safety ratings for child occupant protection. For adult occupant protection it scored 32 out of 32 points and for child occupant protection it scored 45 out of 49 points.
