MATTER Launches Lifetime Battery Warranty For AERA Electric Bike

Electric vehicle company MATTER has launched a lifetime battery warranty for its AERA electric motorcycle. This is the first time such a warranty is being offered in India’s electric two-wheeler market. The warranty is part of the company’s MATTER Care program and is applicable to new customers.

In-House Battery and BMS Development

The company designs and manufactures its battery packs and Battery Management System (BMS) internally. According to MATTER, these components have been tested across a range of conditions including varied terrain and temperatures, which it says enables them to offer a long-term warranty.

Use of Liquid-Cooled Battery System

MATTER was also the first in India to use a liquid-cooled battery in a two-wheeler. The technology is designed to manage heat and maintain performance across different environmental conditions.

Battery Cost as a Key Concern for EV Users

Battery replacement remains one of the major cost concerns for electric vehicle owners. MATTER’s new warranty aims to reduce this burden by covering the battery for the entire lifespan of the vehicle.
Mohal Lalbhai, Founder & CEO, MATTER, said, “When you ride with MATTER, we ride with you—for life. Our riders shouldn’t have to worry about what powers their bike. This Lifetime Battery Warranty is our way of saying: we’ve got your back. It’s a bold step, but it’s built on bold innovation. We want more people to embrace electric, and this is our commitment to making that journey worry-free.”

Available for New Customers

The lifetime battery warranty is currently being offered to all new customers of MATTER’s AERA electric motorcycles. The company states that this is part of its broader plan to promote the adoption of electric mobility in India.
