MG Motor India Launches MG Windsor EV: Check Price, Bookings, Key Highlights And More

MG Motor India has launched the Windsor EV, India's first Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV), with an introductory price of Rs 9.9 lakh. Powered by a 38 kWh battery, it offers a 331 km range on a single charge.

MG Motor India Launches Windsor EV: Price, Bookings, Features And More

MG Motor India has introduced the Windsor EV , marking the country’s first Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV). Priced at an introductory Rs 9.9 lakh (ex-showroom) + a unique battery rental model, charging Rs 3.5 per kilometer for the battery. The Windsor EV brings electric efficiency to a new segment between the MG Comet and MG ZS EV. Bookings for the Windsor EV will open on October 3, 2024, with test drives starting on September 25. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on October 12.
The vehicle is powered by a 38 kWh battery, producing 136 PS and 200 Nm of torque. It offers a claimed range of 331 kilometers on a single charge. MG has introduced a unique battery rental option at Rs 3.5 per kilometer for added flexibility.

The Windsor EV comes in three variants: Excite, Exclusive, and Essence. The Excite variant, which is the base model, comes equipped with 6 airbags, Aero-Lounge seats, and a 10.1-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also includes Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and power steering as standard.

The mid-range Exclusive variant adds a larger 15.6-inch infotainment display, 50+ connected car features, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a 360-degree camera. Power-adjustable driver seats and smart flush door handles are also part of this trim.
The top-end Essence variant comes with additional features like a panoramic Infinity View Glass Roof, a 256-color ambient lighting system, a nine-speaker Infinity audio system, and ventilated front seats.
For safety, all Windsor EV variants come with 6 airbags, ESC, all four disc brakes, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The vehicle also includes over 35 standard safety features like electronic parking brakes.
In terms of design, the Windsor EV features connected LED lighting, Aero glide design and comes in four color options: Turquoise Green, Starburst Black, Pearl White, and Clay Beige. The cabin is designed for comfort, with Aero-Lounge seats that recline up to 135 degrees, rear AC vents, and a wireless charging pad in the front and at the rear. It also offers 604 liters of boot space.
