Indian EV startup Oben Electric has today announced that it is all set to launch the next-generation Rorr EZ electric motorcycle in India on August 5th 2025. The company is introducing the second iteration of this model in under a year, following the debut of the current version in November 2024.

Launch and Deliveries
According to the information shared by the company the next-gen Oben Rorr EZ electric motorcycle will be open for bookings on the day of its launch i.e. August 5th; while deliveries for the same are scheduled to commence from August 15th 2025. The company has also stated that the new version will continue with the existing LFP battery architecture and familiar design language.
Design
Oben has released a teaser image of this upcoming electric motorcycle revealing its silhouette. Based on the image, this upcoming electric motorcycle will feature round headlamp, side panels and alloy wheels are likely to be retained. While Oben is calling it a next-gen update, the overall styling seems to carry forward most of the cues from the current version, with minor visual changes expected.

Battery and Performance
The upcoming next-gen Oben Rorr EZ electric motorcycle will most likely be offered in three battery pack variants:
- 2.6 kWh
- 3.4 kWh
- 4.4 kWh
Each of these variant uses the same electric motor. It is expected to boast a top speed of 95 kmph and is likely to have a 0 to 40 kmph acceleration time of about 3.3 seconds.
The 2.6 kWh battery pack version can return a range of about 110 km, the 3.4 kWh version can return a range of about 140 km and 4.4 kWh version can return a range of about 175 km on a single charge.
Expected Pricing
The current iteration of the Rorr EZ has a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 99,999 for the base variant and it goes up till Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom). Pricing for the updated model is expected to stay in line with the current model range, though a slight upward revision can’t be ruled out.
Features and Technology
The upcoming next-gen Oben Rorr EZ is expected to come equipped with three ride modes—Eco, City and Havoc. Other features can include - LED headlamps, LED DRLs, digital instrument cluster, Geo-Fencing, Theft Protection, Unified Brake Assist (UBA), Drive Assist System (DAS) and more.
