Skoda Auto began assembling the updated Enyaq models at its Mlada Boleslav plant. The facility produces both electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles on the same manufacturing line. The plant also manufactures battery systems for MEB-based electric vehicles, including those from other Volkswagen Group brands.

New Enyaq Models and Features

The latest Enyaq series includes two battery sizes and three powertrain configurations. The Enyaq 60 and Enyaq 85 come with a single motor and rear-wheel drive, while the Enyaq 85x has dual motors and all-wheel drive. Power output ranges between 201.1 bhp and 281.6 bhp.
With aerodynamic improvements such as redesigned air curtains, modified wheels and a sealed front grille gap, the new Enyaq achieves a drag coefficient of 0.245, while the Enyaq Coupe reaches 0.225. These changes contribute to an extended range of over 590 km (WLTP) for the Enyaq Coupe and over 580 km for the standard Enyaq.

Manufacturing and Market Position

The Enyaq lineup follows Skoda’s Modern Solid design approach, previously introduced with the Elroq. Skoda sold over 250,000 units globally of the previous Enyaq model, making it one of the top selling model in Europe.

Standard Equipment and Technology

The new Enyaq comes with upgraded standard features, including heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry with walk-away locking, three-zone climate control and advanced driver assistance systems such as Side Assist and Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control. Digital upgrades include Remote Park Assist and Remote Trained Parking.
Andreas Dick, Skoda Auto Board Member for Production and Logistics, said, “The start of production for the new Enyaq family is a very special moment for our production teams. As Skoda’s first MEB-based model, its predecessor marked a major milestone in manufacturing, laying the foundation for the processes we benefit from today. We extensively adapted our production facilities, enabling us to build both fully electric vehicles and the Octavia on a single production line. Producing the new Enyaq family at our main plant in Mlada Boleslav underscores our commitment to the Czech Republic. It reinforces our dedication to securing the long-term future of our sites while recognising our responsibility to further strengthen the country’s role as a key player in the European automotive industry.”
