Ultraviolette F99 Production Spec: First Look
Ultraviolet unveiled its new F99 bike earlier this year. The brand says the new model will sit above the current F77 in the range and will be a track-only model. Ultraviolet says the F99 is India’s first bike. At the launch event, the Bengaluru-based electric bike maker said it will attempt to set the record for the highest speed by an Indian motorcycle and the fastest quarter mile run by an Indian motorcycle in the next 90 days.
The Ultraviolet F99 is all set to set the fastest quarter mile records and it looks like the time has come. The first look of the F99 ready for its record-breaking run has been released. The F99 was custom-built at the R7D Ultraviolet Center in Bengaluru. The entire UV F99 has a futuristic look. Like the F77, it has a very unique aesthetic. The bike comes in a shade of red and white, with black accent panels. Like the F77, it also has its own number and name on the body.
The Ultraviolet F99 is powered by a 90 kW electric motor. According to the brand, the F99 can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in three seconds. The F99 weighs 178 kg, and has a top speed of 265 kmph. The F99's equipment includes Ohlins suspension and dual Brembo front brakes. The new electric bike rides on alloy wheels wrapped in lightweight tires. Ultraviolet hasn't shared pricing for the F99 yet. Expect to see it revealed later along with pricing, range and more details.
