Hero Glamour X 125 VS Hero Xtreme 125R Spec Comparison: What's Different?

Hero MotoCorp has introduced the Glamour X 125 in the premium commuter space, while they already had Xtreme 125R which caters to the sporty commuter segment. Both motorcycles use the same 125cc engine platform but are designed for different rider expectations. Here’s a detailed comparison of their specifications and features.

Both motorcycles are powered by a 124.7cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine with fuel injection. The Glamour X produces 11.4 bhp at 8,250 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The Xtreme 125R delivers the same power and torque. Hero claims that the Xtreme 125R can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 5.7 seconds and has a fuel efficiency of 66 kmpl (WMTC). The Glamour X focuses on smooth power delivery and uses Hero’s Sprint-EBT engine technology with an engine balancer to lower vibrations.

In terms of design, the Hero Glamour X adopts a muscular commuter design with sharp body lines and a strong road presence. It features Hero’s signature “H” full-LED lighting setup, sculpted tank and modern switchgear. On the other hand, the Hero Xtreme 125R leans towards a sportier look. It gets aggressive bodywork, a more compact stance and a streetfighter-inspired design.

The Glamour X introduces several first-in-segment features for a 125cc motorcycle. These include ride-by-wire throttle, three ride modes (Eco, Road, Power), cruise control, and a panic brake alert system. It also offers Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation, distance-to-empty, and gear position indicator on a multi-colour LCD display. On the contrary, The Hero Xtreme 125R keeps its feature set simpler but functional. It gets a digital-analogue instrument cluster and safety features like single-channel ABS (in higher variants) and CBS in the base model.

The Hero Glamour X has a wheelbase of 1,267 mm, ground clearance of 170 mm, seat height of 790 mm and weighs 125.5 kg (drum variant) and 127 kg (disc variant). Its ergonomics are tuned for comfort with a wide handlebar, upright seating and a large pillion seat, making it suitable for long commutes. The Xtreme 125R is slightly longer and has a wider wheelbase of 1,319 mm, seat height of 794 mm, 180 mm of ground clearance and weighs 136 kg.

The Glamour X uses an 80/100-18 tyre setup on both ends, alloy wheels, telescopic front forks, and 5-step adjustable rear shocks. Depending on the variant, it offers either a drum or disc brake setup with combined braking. The Xtreme 125R uses larger 17-inch wheels with wider tyres—90/90 front and 120/80 rear. Suspension duties are handled by a 37 mm telescopic fork at the front and hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. Braking options include a 240 mm front disc with CBS or a larger 276 mm disc with ABS.

The Hero Glamour X is launched in 2 variants: Drum priced at Rs 89,999 and Disc price at Rs 99,999 ex-showroom Delhi. The Xtreme 125R is available in three variants: IBS at Rs 98,425, ABS Single Seat at Rs 1,00,100 and ABS variant at Rs 1,02,000 (all ex-showroom).
