BMW Announces Price Hike of up to 4 Percent, Effective from October 2026

BMW India will implement a price increase of up to 4 percent on select car models, effective October 2026. This marks the fourth price adjustment made by the company in 2026.

The Indian division of the German luxury automaker BMW is all set to increase prices of its cars in the country by up to 4 percent. This price hike is scheduled to come into effect from October 2026. This will be the fourth price hike from the luxury carmaker in India this year. This upcoming price hike will impact select models and not the entire lineup.

The latest revision comes after BMW India increased prices three times earlier in 2026. The company had implemented a price hike of up to 3 percent in January, followed by increases of up to 2 percent in April and July.

BMW India has cited increasing operating and input costs, depreciation of the Indian rupee, commodity prices and logistics costs as the reason behind this upcoming price hike. The impact of currency movement is particularly relevant for BMW as the company sells both locally manufactured vehicles and completely built-up (CBU) models imported into India.

The October 2026 price hike will follow three revisions announced by BMW India earlier this year. The company increased prices by up to 3 percent in January. This was followed by a price increase of up to 2 percent in April and another hike of up to 2 percent from July 2026.

BMW has indicated that the cumulative impact on its portfolio has been lower than the simple addition of the maximum percentage increases, with the actual increase varying across models.
