Hero Passion Plus Disc Variant Launched in India at Rs 84,128: Engine, Features, Specs and Colour Options

Hero MotoCorp has expanded its commuter motorcycle range with the launch of a new variant of the Passion Plus. Called the Hero Passion Plus Disc, the new model gets a front disc brake along with additional features, making it a more premium and safety-focused version of the entry-level commuter bike.

The new Passion Plus Disc gets a front disc brake instead of the standard drum setup.
The motorcycle now comes with a fully digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, and side-stand engine cut-off feature.
It continues with the 100cc engine and Hero’s i3S technology, with a claimed mileage of 71 kmpl, making it a practical commuter bike.

Hero Passion Plus Disc: Price and Key Update

The new variant of Hero Passion Plus has a price tag of Rs 84,128 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is positioned above the standard Passion Plus. The main highlight of this update is the addition of a front disc brake, replacing the conventional drum brake setup.

The upgrade is expected to offer better braking performance and improved control, especially in city riding conditions where frequent braking and sudden stops are common.

Hero Passion Plus Disc: Key Features

Along with the braking upgrade, Hero has equipped the Passion Plus Disc with a fully digital instrument cluster. The updated console offers features such as a real-time mileage indicator, low fuel warning, service reminder, and Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts.

Additionally, the motorcycle gets cosmetic updates including an LED projector headlamp, side-stand engine cut-off function, USB charging port and a utility storage compartment.

Hero Passion Plus Disc: Engine and Mileage

The company has not made any mechanical changes in the Passion Plus Disc variant. The bike continues with the 100cc engine that produces 5.9 kW of power at 8,000 rpm and 8.05 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm.

The engine is paired with Hero’s i3S (Idle Stop-Start System) technology, which helps improve fuel efficiency by automatically reducing fuel consumption when the motorcycle is idle. Hero claims that the Passion Plus delivers a fuel efficiency of 71 kmpl, making it an economical option for daily commuters.

Hero Passion Plus Disc: Colour Options

The newly launched variant of Hero Passion Plus is available in four dual-tone colour options such as Heavy Grey, Nexus Blue, Dark Industrial Grey and Pearl Red.

With the added safety feature and updated equipment list, the disc variant aims to attract buyers looking for a practical commuter motorcycle with more features and colour options.
