Hyundai Introduces Assured Buyback Programme for Creta Electric; Offers 60 Future Value

Hyundai Motor India has announced a new Assured Buyback Program for the Hyundai Creta Electric , offering customers an assured 60% buyback value after up to three years or 45,000 km of ownership. The move is aimed at addressing one of the biggest concerns among electric vehicle buyers - future resale value - while making EV ownership more attractive and worry-free.
Key Highlights:
  • Hyundai introduces Assured Buyback Program for the Creta Electric with 60% buyback value.
  • Offer is valid for up to 3 years or 45,000 km, whichever comes first.
  • The programme aims to address EV resale value concerns and improve buyer confidence.
  • Hyundai continues to expand its EV ecosystem with Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) and a growing charging network.
Under the new scheme, customers purchasing the Hyundai Creta Electric will receive a guaranteed buyback value of 60% after three years or up to 45,000 km, subject to the program's terms and conditions.
The company says the program has been introduced to give customers greater financial security and confidence when switching from conventional petrol or diesel vehicles to electric mobility.

Hyundai Creta Electric: Range, Battery and Features

The Hyundai Creta Electric is available with two battery pack options:
  • 51.4 kWh battery with an ARAI-certified range of up to 510 km
  • 42 kWh battery with an ARAI-certified range of up to 420 km
The electric SUV supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes.
Other key features include:
  • Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function
  • Digital Key
  • Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS
  • Side foot step
  • 0-100 kmph acceleration in 7.9 seconds (Long Range version)

Battery-as-a-Service Reduces Initial Purchase Cost

Earlier this year, Hyundai introduced its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model for the Creta Electric.
Under this option, the SUV is available at a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh, while battery usage is billed separately, with EMI plans starting from Rs 3.9 per kilometre. This helps lower the vehicle's upfront purchase cost.
Hyundai is also expanding its charging infrastructure across India. Through the myHyundai app, EV users can access and navigate to more than 30,000 charging points nationwide.
The company claims to have already installed 183 DC fast charging stations across 105 cities and plans to increase the network to 600 DC fast chargers by 2030, covering major cities, highways and Hyundai dealerships.
