Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition in India: Top 5 Highlights

Mahindra BE 6 Formula Edition has been launched in India today. This is the second special edition of this all-electric SUV after the Batman Edition. The company has built this motorsports inspired edition of the BE 6 using its Formula E experience. Well if you too are contemplating bringing home one then these are the five key highlights that you shouldn’t miss:

The BE 6 Formula E Edition is available in two variants. The FE2 is priced at R23.69 lakh, while the FE3, which adds a set of additional features, is priced at Rs 24.49 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). Bookings open on January 14th 2026 and deliveries begin on February 14th 2026.

The Formula E Edition receives a series of motorsport-influenced styling changes. The exterior features a redesigned front bumper with circular projector headlamps, racetrack-themed graphics across the bonnet, doors and fenders, and orange brake calipers that match the Edition’s signature highlights. The SUV also carries dark-tinted R20 alloy wheels on the FE3 variant and a 12-stripe graphic pattern placed on the glass roof and bonnet. Additional elements include roof and boot spoilers, ceramic 'Mahindra Formula E' branding on the windshield and FIA-themed branding on specific exterior areas.

On the inside the cabin, the Formula E Edition uses a full Firestorm Orange theme. The dashboard and seats carry Formula E logos, the seat belts feature FIA branding, and the start/stop button is housed under a racing-style flap. The Edition also receives a custom Formula E startup animation, translucent door inserts and orange accents across the steering wheel, controller and door straps, creating a motorsport-focused cabin identity.

It is has been introduced in four exterior colour options - Everest White, Firestorm Orange, Tango Red and Stealth Black.

The BE 6 Formula E Edition is offered with Mahindra’s 79 kWh battery pack and 282 bhp electric motor. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is claimed at 6.7 seconds, with a top speed of 202 kmph. The company claims a real-world driving range of 500 km. It supports DC fast charging and it can charge from 20 to 80 percent in a company claimed time of 20 minutes using a 180 kW DC charger. It also gets a dedicated boost mode, multi-step regenerative braking and one-pedal driving.

Mahindra has equipped the BE 6 Formula E Edition with a wide collection of technology and convenience features. The cabin is centred around a dual-screen layout that uses two 12.3-inch displays. The audio system is a 16-speaker Harman/Kardon setup with Dolby Atmos. The vehicle runs on a Snapdragon 8155 chipset and offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, built-in Amazon Alexa and 5G connectivity. Pre-installed OTT, social media, news and shopping applications are included as part of the infotainment suite. Convenience features include wireless charging, BYOD seat-mounting provisions in the rear row, cooled console storage, auto-dimming mirrors, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone climate control and a frunk with drainage and lighting. Connected functions such as cabin pre-cooling and remote commands are available through the Me4U app.

The BE 6 Formula E Edition comes with six airbags, a 360-degree camera system, a blind view monitor and disc brakes on all wheels, driver drowsiness detection is included, along with TPMS featuring individual tyre pressure readouts, front and rear parking sensors and an electronic parking brake are also part of the safety package.
