MG Majestor India Launch Today: Here’s What to Expect

MG Motor India is set to introduce the Majestor SUV in India today, April 20th 2026. The Majestor will sit above the Gloster in the company’s lineup and is expected to become its flagship internal combustion SUV offering. Bookings for the model are already open with a token amount of Rs 41,000.

The MG Majestor will be powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing around 212bhp and 478.5Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The SUV is expected to be offered in three variants – Sharp 4x2, Savvy 4x2 and Savvy 4x4. Buyers will get both six-seat and seven-seat layouts, with the six-seater featuring captain seats in the second row.

The Savvy 4x4 variant will include a four-wheel-drive system along with terrain modes, a low-range transfer case and three differential locks. MG is also expected to offer a water-wading capacity of up to 810mm.

The MG Majestor is built on a body-on-frame platform and measures 5,046mm in length, 2,016mm in width and 1,876mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950mm.

Design elements include a large front grille, vertically stacked LED lighting, connected tail lamps and 19-inch alloy wheels on higher variants. Colour options are expected to include Metal Black, Pearl White, Concrete Grey and Metal Ash.

On the inside the MG Majestor will offer a three-row cabin with a dual 12.3-inch setup for the infotainment system and instrument cluster. Other key features can include - Tri-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Dual wireless charging pads, powered front seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions, 12-speaker JBL audio system, 64-colour ambient lighting

The Majestor will come equipped with Level 2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and blind-spot monitoring.

Other safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, hill-descent control, ISOFIX mounts and a 360-degree camera.

Prices for the MG Majestor will be announced later today. The SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 39.99 lakh and Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
