MG Majestor SUV to Launch in India on April 20: Expected Price, Engine, Features and More

Chinese owned legacy British automaker Morris Garages, also popularly known as MG Motor, has confirmed that it will be launching its Majestor SUV in India on April 20th 2026. The Majestor is likely to be positioned above the Gloster in the company’s portfolio and following its launch it can become the new ICE flagship vehicle in the company’s lineup in India. Bookings for the MG Majestor are already underway and can be made for an amount of Rs 41,000.

The MG Majestor is equipped with a 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine producing around 212bhp and 478.5Nm of torque. This engine mated to a 8-speed automatic transmission. The Majestor will be offered in three variants - Sharp 4x2, Savvy 4x2 and Savvy 4x4; these variants are expected to be offered with six-seat and seven-seat configurations. The Savvy 4x4 variant comes equipped with a four-wheel-drive system, multiple terrain modes, a low-range transfer case and three differential locks. The Majestor also offers a claimed water-wading capacity of up to 810mm.

In terms of size, the upcoming MG Majestor measures 5,046mm in length, 2,016mm in width, 1,876mm in height and has a wheelbase spanning 2,950mm. It follows a body-on-frame construction and features an upright stance with a large grille, vertically stacked LED lighting elements and connected tail lamps. The top variants get 19-inch alloy wheels. Colour options include Metal Black, Pearl White, Concrete Grey and Metal Ash.

The cabin offers a three-row layout with the six-seat and seven-seat seating configurations. The six-seater version has captain seats in the second row. The dashboard sports 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Other notable features include tri-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual wireless charging pads, powered front seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions, a 12-speaker JBL sound system and 64-colour ambient lighting.

Upcoming MG Majestor: Safety

On the safety front the MG Majestor SUV is equipped with active and passive safety features like - Level 2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and blind-spot monitoring. It also includes six airbags, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, hill-descent control, ISOFIX mounts and a 360-degree camera.

Prices for the MG Majestor will be announced on April 20th 2026. The SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 39.99 lakh t0 Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
