Reason for the Recall
According to the company, a rear brake caliper assembly intended for another model was mistakenly installed on the Gixxer 250 range. This has led to improper contact between the brake pads and the disc. Over time, this defect can cause uneven wear on the brake pads and reduce braking efficiency.
Affected Models and Manufacturing Period
The recall affects the GSX250/F and GSX250 (XF1C/XF1D) motorcycles manufactured between February 2, 2022, and June 4, 2025. A total of 5,145 motorcycles fall under this recall exercise.
Company Action
Suzuki India has started reaching out to affected customers. Owners will be asked to visit their nearest service centres, where technicians will inspect the motorcycles and carry out the necessary repairs at no cost.
