Top Upcoming Cars Launching in India: October 2026

The festive season in India is gaining momentum and will enter its full swing next month. The festive season is often considered as the best period for a new car purchase in the country where automakers roll out new products, offers and discounts. On the other hand, customers consider this as an auspicious period to bring home a new car. Well, October is packed with multiple new car launches across different segments.

The list of car launches scheduled for October 2026 includes the facelifted Honda Elevate, Skoda Slavia facelift, Toyota Glanza, new-gen Audi Q3, Renault Duster hybrid and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. The events for these models are scheduled for next month but automakers in India can also roll out other models, trims and special editions during this period. Here is an overview of the top upcoming car launches set to take place in October 2026.

Mercedes-Maybach is scheduled to introduce the facelifted S-Class in India on October 5. The updated luxury sedan will receive changes to its exterior design, cabin and technology. The facelifted model gets updated lighting elements and styling changes, while the cabin is expected to feature newer-generation infotainment and connectivity technology. The India-specification details, including variants and prices, are expected to be announced at the launch.

Skoda Auto India is scheduled to launch the updated Slavia on October 6. The facelift is expected to bring changes to the sedan's exterior styling and feature list. The updated Slavia is expected to continue with the two turbo-petrol engine options, gearbox options will now include a 8-speed AT instead of the 6-speed AT, other transmission option are likely to remain the same in the lineup. More details about the India-spec model and its pricing will be revealed at launch.

Honda is also scheduled to launch the Elevate facelift on October 6th. The mid-size SUV is expected to receive exterior and equipment updates as part of the facelift. Changes are expected to include revisions to the front and rear sections, along with updates to the feature list. The Elevate is expected to continue with its existing petrol powertrain but there are rumours about the hybrid powertrain as well. Honda is yet to reveal complete details of the updated model.

The Toyota Glanza is expected to receive a facelift in October, with the launch currently scheduled for October 14th. The premium hatchback shares its underpinnings with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The updated Glanza is expected to get a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine which was introduced in the recent Baleno facelift. The facelift could bring changes to the exterior design and equipment list. Toyota is expected to announce the variant-wise specifications and prices at the launch.

Audi is scheduled to launch the new-generation Q3 in India on October 16th. The SUV has already entered local production in India. The new Q3 gets a redesigned exterior and a new cabin layout with a digital-focused dashboard. The India-spec model is expected to feature equipment such as a panoramic display, 360-degree camera and parking assistance technology. The new-generation Q3 will continue to compete in the entry-level luxury SUV segment against models such as the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.

Renault is expected to introduce the strong-hybrid version of the Duster in India on October 17th. The new powertrain will add an electrified option to the Duster range. The Duster E-Tech strong-hybrid system uses a 1.8-litre petrol engine along with a 1.4kWh battery. Renault says the system can operate in electric mode for a significant portion of driving, depending on driving conditions. Renault has confirmed that the Duster strong hybrid will arrive in India around the Diwali 2026 period. The final price and variant details are expected to be announced closer to the launch.
