Triumph 350cc Motorcycle to Debut in April 2026

British legacy automaker Triumph has announced that it will be introducing their new 350cc motorcycle in the Indian market next month. The Triumph 350cc motorcycle which is set to debut next month has been developed in the aftermath of revision of GST rates in India last year.

Following the revision of GST rates by the government of India motorcycles over 350cc attracted higher tax. To cushion this impact, Triumph India initially absorbed the price hike of its 400cc range but now the automaker is introducing its 400cc lineup with a new 350cc engine.

The new 350cc engine from Triumph India is likely to be the same block as the 400cc which is expected to undergo bore reduction to reduce the cubic capacity of the engine. As a result it can boast better low and mid-range power delivery. This downsizing can also expected improve the fuel economy of this engine.

The new Triumph 350 motorcycle range will benefit from lower 18 percent GST which is expected to result in a price cut of about Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000. Even with the downsizing the Triumph 350 range is expected to generate similar power outputs; we expect only a slight drop in the brake horsepower and torque.

The Triumph 400 lineup in India currently includes - Speed T4, Speed 400, Scrambler 400 X, Scrambler 400 XC and Thruxton 400. It is expected that Triumph India will update its entire 400 lineup with a 350cc engine. Multiple media reports also indicate that there might be a Triumph Bonneville 350 in pipelines for the domestic market and maybe the automaker might kick off its new 350 lineup in India with the same.
