The Triumph Speed T4, which is the entry point to the brand’s 400cc portfolio in India, is now priced at Rs 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom) following an increase of Rs 2,461. The Speed 400 has received the highest hike in the lineup, with prices going up by Rs 5,246. It is now listed at Rs 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom).
Both Scrambler models have seen identical revisions. The Scrambler 400 X is now priced at Rs 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Scrambler 400 XC costs Rs 2.96 lakh (ex-showroom). Each of these models has become costlier by Rs 2,246. The Thruxton 400 has also witnessed a similar price hike of Rs 2,246 and now it starts from Rs 2.76 lakh (ex-showroom).
The price revision follows changes in the GST structure for two-wheelers based on engine capacity. Motorcycles with displacement of 350cc and above now attract 40 per cent GST, up from 28 per cent earlier, while models below 350cc continue under the 18 per cent slab. Triumph had earlier indicated that prices would be revised from January 2026 but had not disclosed the exact amounts at the time.
Triumph absorbed the additional GST tax burden on its 400cc range in India till the end of 2025. Now the latest revision reflects a partial pass-through of this cost to buyers, with the Speed 400 seeing the largest adjustment among the five models.
To manage the impact of the increase on the Speed models, Triumph is offering complimentary accessories on the Speed 400 and Speed T4 for a limited period. The accessory package is valued at Rs 11,500 and includes items such as a tank pad, knee pads, windscreen, lower engine bars and a short backrest.
The 400cc motorcycles are manufactured in India and also serve export markets. Reports suggest Triumph is evaluating a smaller-displacement motorcycle below the 350cc threshold to align with the lower GST slab. Triumph has however not shared any timeline of specification of any such model yet.
