TVS Motor Company has confirmed an upcoming motorcycle launch on October 15 with the theme “Mount Up For The Mountains.” The invite indicates the debut of the Apache RTX 300, which will be the company’s first model in the adventure category. The new motorcycle will expand the Apache lineup, targeting riders interested in long-distance and mixed-terrain touring.

TVS Apache RTX 300 ADV: Design
The Apache RTX 300 is expected to feature design elements suitable for touring and light off-road use. It is likely to include a tall windscreen, a large fuel tank and a 5-inch full-colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The motorcycle may also come with ride modes, traction control, switchable dual-channel ABS and full LED lighting.

Reports suggest the motorcycle will use a steel trellis frame similar to that of the Apache RR 310. It may feature a 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel with dual-purpose tyres. In terms of suspension system, the RTX 300 is expected to get USD forks at the front and a rear monoshock.

The Apache RTX 300 is likely to be powered by a new 299cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder RT-XD4 engine that is expected to produce around 35 bhp at 9,000rpm and 28.5 Nm of torque at 7,000rpm paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch for smoother operation.
Expected Price and Rivals
The TVS Apache RTX 300 is expected to be priced around Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will compete against the likes of KTM 250 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
