VinFast VF 9: Design and Features
VinFast VF9 Global Spec
The VF 9 follows VinFast's familiar design language but has a relatively low stance compared with some other large SUVs. The SUV has an unladen ground clearance of 184mm.
It gets a full-LED lighting setup, vegan leather upholstery and a panoramic sunroof. Inside, the dashboard has a minimalist layout and does not feature a conventional instrument cluster. Instead, most information is displayed through the large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Other features include ambient lighting, an Alexa AI-powered voice assistant and dedicated physical buttons on the centre console for selecting different drive modes.
VinFast VF 9: Battery and Range
Powering the VF 9 is a large 123kWh battery pack paired with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. The setup produces 402bhp and 620Nm of torque.
The electric SUV is claimed to deliver a range of up to 626km on a single charge. For charging, it supports both 6.6kW single-phase and 11kW three-phase AC charging.
VinFast says the battery can be charged from 10 to 70 per cent in around 35 minutes using a DC fast charger.
VinFast VF 9: Safety Features
VinFast VF9 Global Spec
The VF 9 comes with a range of safety and driver-assistance features, including Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera and 11 airbags. The SUV's three-row layout also makes it a potential rival to other premium electric SUVs offering seating for larger families.
VinFast has not yet confirmed whether the VF 9 will be launched in India. The patent filing, however, indicates that the company is exploring the possibility of bringing its flagship electric SUV to the Indian market.
