Yamaha R15 V4 Gets Quickshifter Option in Two More Colours

Yamaha has expanded the availability of the quickshifter on the R15 V4 in India. The feature, which was earlier offered only with the Intensity White colour, is now available with the Racing Blue and Matte Pearl White shades as well. This gives buyers more choice if they want the sportbike with a quickshifter without having to opt for a specific colour.
Key Highlights:
  • Yamaha R15 V4 quickshifter variant now available in Racing Blue and Matte Pearl White
  • Quickshifter was earlier limited to the Intensity White colour
  • Upgrade costs Rs 4,650 over the standard variant
  • Engine and mechanical setup remain unchanged

Yamaha R15 V4 Quickshifter: What Has Changed?

The latest update is limited to the availability of the quickshifter variant in two additional colour options. The quickshifter comes at a premium of Rs 4,650 and allows the rider to make clutchless upshifts. The feature is aimed at making gear changes quicker and smoother, particularly during spirited riding. Its addition also gives the R15 V4 a more premium feature set in the competitive 150cc motorcycle segment.
Earlier, buyers who wanted the R15 V4 with a quickshifter had to choose the Intensity White colour scheme. With the latest update, Yamaha has added Racing Blue and Matte Pearl White to the list.

Yamaha R15 V4: Engine and Specifications

There are no mechanical changes to the motorcycle as part of this update. The Yamaha R15 V4 continues to use a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). The engine produces 18.1bhp and 14.2Nm and is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle continues with its existing hardware and features, with the quickshifter being the key addition to the newly introduced colour variants.
While the expansion of the quickshifter option gives buyers more choice, Yamaha has still limited the feature to select colour schemes. Offering the quickshifter as an optional fitment across all R15 V4 colours could have given customers greater flexibility.
