Ferrari To Launch 12Cilindri In India On This Date: Check Details
Ferrari is scheduled to launch the 12Cilindri , its front-engine V12 grand tourer, in the Indian market on May 9, 2025. The vehicle was first presented during a global debut event held in Miami Beach, USA, in May 2024. The car marks a continuation of Ferrari’s long-standing use of naturally aspirated V12 engines.
Ferrari 12Cilindri: Engine and Performance
The Ferrari 12Cilindri is powered by a 6.5L, 65-degree V12 engine that puts out 818 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 678 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm, with a redline at 9,500 rpm. The engine layout is front-mid-mounted and paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Ferrari claims that it can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and 0 to 200 kmph in 7.9 seconds and a top speed above 340 kmph.
Ferrari 12Cilindri: Chassis and Dynamics
The car features a front-engine layout with a rear-wheel-drive configuration. It incorporates a range of electronic control systems including the SSC 8.0, ABS Evo and Side Slip Control. Brake-by-wire technology enables shorter stopping distances and integrates with dynamic stability systems. The Virtual Short Wheelbase 3.0 setup works in tandem with a 6D sensor to manage handling.
Ferrari 12Cilindri: Cooling and Aerodynamics
The 12Cilindri features a redesigned cooling setup with seven openings in the front bumper and the airflow is managed by active aerodynamic flaps that adjust based on speed and acceleration. That helps the car balance between low drag and high downforce modes. A 25-mm boot-lid nolder contributes to airflow stability.
Ferrari 12Cilindri: Dimensions, Weight and Braking
The car measures 4,733 mm in length, 2,176 mm in width, and 1,292 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. The dry weight is 1,560 kg, distributed 48.4% at the front and 51.6% at the rear. The fuel tank holds 92 litres and the boot offers 270 litres of storage. The braking system includes 398 mm front discs and 360 mm rear discs. It rides on 21-inch wheels, with 275/35 tyres at the front and 315/35 at the rear.
Ferrari 12Cilindri: Interior Layout
The cabin is divided into three zones with separate modules for the driver and front passenger. It includes three displays and a glass roof. Materials used include Alcantara made from 68% recycled polyester. The layout follows Ferrari’s dual-cockpit format seen in recent models like the Roma and Purosangue.
