Range Rover Sport SV Black will be previewed at Goodwood Festival of Speed, UK, from Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 July 2025 and will be available for customer orders later in the year.
The SV Black Edition is based on the existing Range Rover Sport SV and introduces cosmetic changes without altering its technical specifications. The company says the all-black variant responds to strong demand for darker design themes.
Range Rover Sport SV Black Edition: Exterior Changes
The SV Black Edition gets a full Narvik Black paint job. The black theme extends to all trim elements, including the grille, carbon fibre bonnet, 23-inch forged alloy wheels, brake calipers and exhaust tips. Even the Range Rover SV roundel and model badges appear in a new black finish.

Range Rover Sport SV Black Edition: Engine and Performance
The SV Black Edition is powered by the same 4.4-litre twin-turbo mild-hybrid V8 petrol engine that produces 626 bhp and 750Nm of torque. The SUV accelerates from 0 to 97 kmph in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 290 kmph. A detuned version of the same powertrain, limited to 265 kmph, is also there. Additionally, it will have Range Rover’s 6D Dynamics suspension and other performance technologies available in the Sport SV.
Martin Limpert, Global Managing Director, Range Rover, said: “Range Rover Sport SV Black represents the essence of sporting luxury; a statement of audacious rebellion. We’ve created a vehicle that combines pure power and performance with a gritty, uncompromising attitude that demands attention. Range Rover’s design team has gone beyond anything we’ve offered previously with black packs or options, giving every single exterior and interior element a sophisticated Narvik black treatment; it appears to the eye, as if the vehicle has been dipped in gloss. We extend this attention to detail to new finishes for the first time on Range Rover, truly showcasing our craftsmanship.”
