2026 Renault Duster Launched in India at Rs 10.29 Lakh with R Pass: Details

Renault India has launched the new-generation Duster in India today, marking its return in the market after its discontinuation in 2022. The new Duster in India has been launched with a standard ex-showroom price of Rs 10.49 lakh. The new Duster lineup is also available with a lower price with R Pass. R Pass pre-bookings are open in India till March 31st 2026. Bookings for the new Duster are already underway for an amount of Rs 21,000. Deliveries for the turbo-petrol versions are scheduled to begin in April 2026, however deliveries for the hybrid version will commence later this year around the festive period.
The new Duster is based on a localised derivative of the CMF-B architecture, referred to as the Renault Group Modular Platform. The Duster re-enters the compact SUV segment and will rival models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Victoris and others.

2026 Renault Duster: Design & Features

The India-spec Duster retains the upright stance of the global model with changes to the front and rear. It features eyebrow-style LED DRLs that also function as turn indicators, a grille with ‘Duster’ lettering, and revised bumper detailing with silver accents. Pixel-style fog lamps are also part of the design.
In profile, the SUV rides on up to 18-inch alloy wheels and offers 212 mm ground clearance. At the rear, the SUV features a connected LED light bar, revised tail-lamps and a roof-mounted spoiler. On the inside the Duster gets a dual-screen layout with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other notable features include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, powered tailgate, and electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats.

2026 Renault Duster: Powertrain

Renault is offering the Duster with two turbo-petrol engine options at launch but a hybrid version will be introduced later this year. The range starts with a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo-petrol unit producing 100bhp and 145Nm of torque, this engine is paired with a manual gearbox. The second engine on offer is a 1.3L turbo-petrol engine producing 161bhp and 280Nm of torque. It is available with both a 6-speed MT and a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
A strong-hybrid powertrain combining a 1.8L petrol engine with two electric motors and a 1.4 kWh battery pack will be added to the line-up later this year.

In terms of safety the new Duster comes equipped with 6-airbags as standard, 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic parking brake, four-wheel disc brakes and Level 2 ADAS with multiple driver assistance functions.
