Audi is all set to launch the SQ8 SUV in India today. The SQ8 SUV will expand the brand’s S model lineup in India and will be positioned between the Audi Q8 and the Audi RS Q8 in the company’s portfolio.

The Indian division of the German automaker Audi India will launch the SQ8 SUV in the country today, i.e. March 17th 2026. The SQ8 is a performance SUV that expands the Audi’s Q8 model range in the country. The SQ8 will be slotted between the standard Q8 and RS Q8 in the lineup. Bookings for the same are already underway in India for an amount of Rs 5 lakh.

Audi SQ8: Powertrain
The Audi SQ8 will be powered by a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and the brand’s quattro all-wheel drive system.
The engine produces 500bhp and 770Nm of torque. Audi states the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.1 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 250 kmph.
Audi SQ8: Design
In terms of design, the SQ8 retains the coupe-SUV silhouette of the Q8 but features S-specific styling elements. These include a revised single-frame grille, larger air intakes on the front bumper, S badging on the front fenders and quad exhaust outlets at the rear.
Audi SQ8: Interior & Features
On the inside the cabin, the layout is similar to the Q8 but with S-specific details. The SUV features a digital instrument cluster, dual-screen infotainment system and a flat-bottom steering wheel.
Equipment expected on the India-spec model includes a panoramic sunroof, multi-zone climate control, head-up display and powered seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions.
The Audi SQ8 is expected to be offered in a single fully-loaded variant once it goes on sale in India later today.
