Bajaj Pulsar New Variants Set to Launch in the Next Two to Three Months

Bajaj Auto plans to expand its Pulsar motorcycle lineup with new variants in the next two to three months, as announced during its Q2 FY26 call. This move responds to rising demand for motorcycles over 125cc, especially during the festive season. While details on specifications and pricing remain undisclosed, the company aims to enhance its competitiveness in the premium and sport-commuter segments. Additionally, Bajaj is navigating recent GST changes by absorbing tax impacts on models above 350cc to maintain affordability.

Bajaj Pulsar New Variants Set to Launch in the Next Two to Three Months

Bajaj Auto has confirmed that it will add new Variants to the Pulsar portfolio within the next two to three months. The announcement was made during the company’s Q2 FY26 conference call, where the management said the Pulsar line-up will be “further strengthened” through these upcoming introductions

Why Bajaj Is Expanding the Pulsar Range

Demand in the 125cc and above motorcycle segments has increased in recent months. Bajaj reported that the higher-end Pulsar trims - particularly in the 150cc and above categories - performed strongly during the festive period. The company aims to use the positive demand cycle to reinforce its position in this segment through the upcoming launches.

What Is Known So Far

Bajaj has not disclosed specifications, pricing or segment placement for the new variants. However, the company indicated that these models are part of its strategy to improve competitiveness in the premium commuter and sport-commuter categories, where Pulsar is already a major contributor.

Update on 350cc Segment and GST Changes

During the earnings call, Bajaj Auto explained that recent GST revisions have affected motorcycles above 350cc. While models under 350cc benefited from a rate reduction, the tax on motorcycles above 350cc increased from around 31% to 40%

Bajaj’s Pricing Approach

Management stated that for motorcycles above 350cc - including certain KTM, Triumph, Dominar and Pulsar NS400 models - the company absorbed the GST impact instead of increasing prices immediately, in order to remain competitive in the segment and maintain affordability for customers

Future Portfolio Adjustments

Bajaj also said it is working with KTM and Triumph on reshaping parts of their product portfolios to better align with the lower GST bracket applicable below 350cc. These updates are expected in the future, though specific timelines were not shared.
