Harley-Davidson X440 T Revealed With Revised Rear Design

Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp have revealed the X440 T, more than two years after the launch of the original X440. The new variant was showcased on 2 December 2025 and appears to build on the same platform while offering a visibly different rear profile.

Key Visual Changes

The X440 T features a reworked rear three-quarter section, replacing the earlier layout that left a larger gap between the wheel and fender. The updated section looks more compact and includes a cleaner tail design. Bar-end mirrors and four new colour options are the other noticeable differences. No front images have been released, suggesting that the rest of the motorcycle remains similar to the X440.

Possible Feature Update

Images indicate the absence of the large throttle cable seen on the X440, hinting at a switch to a ride-by-wire setup. If confirmed, this could allow the motorcycle to offer features such as riding modes or traction control. The switchgear, however, does not show cruise control, a feature seen on some recent Hero models.

Mechanical Similarities Expected

Hero and Harley-Davidson have not shared technical details yet, but the X440 T appears to use the same frame, engine, suspension components, wheel sizes and dual-disc braking setup as the existing X440. The current X440 is priced between Rs 2.40 lakh and Rs 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and the new variant is expected to fall in a similar range once prices are announced.

Positioning in the Line-up

It is not yet clear whether the X440 T will be sold alongside the X440 or replace it in Harley-Davidson’s Hero-built range for India.
