Hyundai Exter Facelift Launched in India at Rs 5.79 Lakh: Check What's New
Hyundai India has unveiled the 2026 model year Exter SUV, priced between Rs 5.79 lakh and Rs 9.41 lakh. The new Exter retains its 1.2L petrol engine which continues to be offered with 5-speed MT and 5-speed AMT.

Hyundai India has launched the updated version of its entry-level SUV, Exeter in India. The 2026 model year Exter SUV has been launched in India with an ex-showroom price range of Rs 5.79 lakh to Rs 9.41 lakh. In this update Hyundai has revised the exterior, cabin and feature list of the Exter while retaining its engine and transmission options. With this launch Hyundai has stated that the new Exter gets over 25 updates across styling, features and safety. Hyundai has also stated that the Exter has has crossed the 2 lakh sales milestone in India since its introduction.

Hyundai Exter Facelift: Design & Features
The 2026 Hyundai Exter comes with revised front fascia featuring a redesigned grille with a dark finish and a new centre garnish. The bumper design has also been updated. Hyundai has also revised the rear design which now sports a new tailgate and C-pillar garnishes along with a rear spoiler, new 15-inch alloy wheels. The Exter measures 3,830mm in length, 1,723mm in width, 1,643mm in height and has a wheelbase spanning 2,450mm.
The new Exter is available in eight colour options, which include seven monotone and one dual-tone colour option. The colour options include - Titanium Black, Atlas White, Golden Bronze, Titanium Black Matte, Titan Grey, Starry Night, Ranger Khaki and the dual-tone Ranger Khaki with Black roof.
On the inside Hyundai has updated the cabin of the new Exter with a new dual-tone navy and grey interior theme. The cabin of the new Exter now sports a new 3D carbon finish on the dashboard, new D-cut steering wheel, metal pedals, folding driver armrest, driver seat height adjustment and adjustable rear headrests.
Hyundai Exter Facelift: Features
On the features front the Hyundai Exter facelift now comes equipped with integrated dashcam, Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, Type-C USB charging port for rear passengers, connected car features, over inbuilt voice commands, single-pane sunroof, OTA updates for maps and infotainment, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents and more.
Hyundai Exter Facelift: Powertrain
The 2026 Hyundai Exter continues to be offered with the 1.2L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine which churns out 81.86bhp and 113.8Nm of torque. This engine is available with a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT. The AMT also gets paddle shifters. The Exter is also available with the option of CNG which gets underbody mounted spare wheel and dual-cylinder CNG tanks offering 225 liters of boot space.
Hyundai Exter Facelift: Safety
Hyundai has also expanded the safety equipment on the updated model. The Exter now offers over 45 safety features out of which 30 are standard across all variants. Some of the most notable safety features of the new Exter include - six airbags, dashcam, TPMS, ESC, hill-start assist, ABS with EBD, rear parking camera and sensors, 3-point seatbelt for all occupants, ISOFIX points and more.
