Mini Cooper S Victory Edition Pre-Bookings Open in India

Mini India has today commenced pre-bookings for the Cooper S 1965 Victory Edition, a limited-run model that commemorates 60 years of the brand’s 1965 Monte Carlo Rally win. The special edition draws reference from the Mini Cooper S driven by Timo Makinen and co-driven by Paul Easter, which competed with race number 52. This special edition model is based on the Cooper S JCW Pack.
Based on the three-door Mini hatchback, the 1965 Victory Edition will be produced at the Oxford plant in the UK. India will receive the Cooper S petrol variant as part of this commemorative line-up.
The Cooper S 1965 Victory Edition is finished in Chili Red with a white stripe extending from the bonnet over the roof and onto the rear. The doors feature the ‘52’ graphic, replicating the race number of the 1965 rally-winning car. A ‘1965’ badge on the C-pillar marks the anniversary theme.
The model rides on exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels with floating hub caps. A panoramic roof is offered as standard. Additional elements include edition-specific JCW detailing, illuminated door sills with ‘1965’ lettering and a commemorative plaque inside the cabin.
Inside, the car features black synthetic leather seats with red contrast stitching. Recycled polyester and knitted materials are used across interior surfaces. The steering wheel carries a 1965 motif, while the key cap also displays the rally number.
The dashboard is centred around a circular OLED touchscreen running Mini Operating System 9. The feature list includes a head-up display, drive modes such as Go-Kart and Green, a 360-degree camera, parking assistant, Harman Kardon audio system, heated sports seats and wireless charging.
The Cooper S 1965 Victory Edition is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 204 bhp and 300 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.6 seconds.
Launch date, pricing and delivery timelines for the Indian market are expected to be announced soon.
