Skoda Kylaq Lineup Expanded in India: Classic and Prestige Launched, Signature and Signature Updated, Sportline Confirmed

Skoda Auto India has expanded the Kylaq compact SUV lineup in India with the introduction of two new variants. Skoda has today introduced the Classic+ and Prestige+ variants of the Kylaq SUV. This announcement was made alongside the reveal of the Kushaq facelift. With these additions, the Kylaq is now offered in six trims.

Skoda Kylaq: Classic+

The newly introduced Classic+ sits above the entry-level Classic trim and is priced at Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom) for the manual version. The automatic variant is priced at Rs 9.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Compared to the base Classic, the new trim costs Rs 66,000 more.
In terms of equipment, the Classic+ adds 16-inch alloy wheels, an electric sunroof, auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, steering-mounted controls, a four-speaker audio system, and LED reading lamps for rear passengers. Unlike the base variant, the Classic+ is offered with both manual and automatic gearbox options, making the Kylaq automatic more accessible in the lineup.

Skoda Kylaq Prestige+

At the top of the range, Skoda has introduced the Prestige+ variant. Prices are set at Rs 11.99 lakh for the manual and Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the automatic. The Prestige+ replaces the earlier Prestige as the most expensive Kylaq variant.
The new trim adds features such as LED projector headlamps, LED fog lamps, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, powered and cooled front seats, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and soft-touch materials on the door pads. Automatic versions also get paddle shifters.
To maintain differentiation, the earlier Prestige variant no longer gets powered front seats and is now priced Rs 24,000 lower than before.

Skoda Kylaq: Signature and Signature+ Variants Updated

Skoda has also updated the mid-spec Signature and Signature+ variants of the Kylaq. These trims now get additional features including a sunroof, rear wiper, rain-sensing wipers and paddle shifters on automatic versions. Prices for both variants have been revised following the updates.

Skoda Kylaq: Powertrain

The Skoda Kylaq continues with the 1.0L TSI turbo-petrol engine producing 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT.

Skoda Kylaq: Sportline Variant Confirmed

Skoda has confirmed that a Kylaq Sportline variant will be introduced later this year. The Sportline is expected to feature cosmetic changes only, with no mechanical updates planned.
