The company also showcased the updated EiV12 Intercity electric coach and announced its #SwitchKaro campaign to promote EV adoption among fleet operators.
The Switch EiV9 is powered by a Permanent Magnet Variable Reluctance (PMVR) motor that develops up to 213 kW of peak power. It will be offered with multiple battery pack options, enabling fleet operators to choose configurations based on route length and operational requirements. The electric bus also features regenerative braking and dual-gun CCS2 DC fast charging, which is expected to reduce charging time and improve fleet utilisation.
The passenger cabin of the EiV9 comes equipped with front and rear air suspension, configurable seating layouts, USB charging ports and optional pushback seats for staff transportation applications. Safety equipment includes a Fire Detection and Suppression System (FDSS) and disc brakes on both axles.
Alongside the EiV9, Switch Mobility displayed the updated EiV12 Intercity electric bus. The intercity coach features floor-mounted lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs, reclining seats, individual charging ports, front and rear air suspension and dual-gun DC fast charging. It also gets camera-based digital outside rear-view mirrors, a pneumatic suspension driver's seat and the company's Switch iON connected vehicle platform for remote diagnostics, battery monitoring and fleet management.
