TNT Motorcycles Builds Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 Based on 411 Platform

TNT Motorcycles Builds Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 Based on 411 Platform

Delhi-based custom workshop TNT Motorcycles has built a modified version of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 411, increasing its engine capacity and updating several mechanical components. The project was undertaken after Royal Enfield discontinued the air-cooled Himalayan 411 in late 2023, following the introduction of the Himalayan 450.
The motorcycle is based on a Himalayan 411 and is not a modified Scram 440 . According to Naveen Nandal of TNT Motorcycles, the build uses original Royal Enfield parts sourced from the Scram 440 and other models.

Engine and Gearbox Upgrade

The engine capacity has been increased to 443cc using OEM components from the Scram 440. In addition to the displacement increase, a sixth gear has been added to the gearbox using factory parts.
The Scram 440 produces 25bhp at 6,250rpm and 34Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. In comparison, the Himalayan 411 produces 23.5bhp and 32Nm. The workshop states that Himalayan 411 and Scram 411 owners can retrofit these components to achieve similar specifications. The cost for upgrading the engine and gearbox to the 440 configuration is Rs 38,000, excluding GST.

Chassis and Hardware Changes

The motorcycle also incorporates cross-spoke wheels from the Himalayan 450. The braking system is similar to the setup used on the Himalayan 450. Suspension duties are handled by YSS units.

Custom 21-Litre Aluminium Fuel Tank

TNT Motorcycles has fitted a custom-built aluminium fuel tank with a capacity of 21 litres. The stock Himalayan 411 fuel tank holds 15 litres. The workshop states that despite the increased capacity, the aluminium tank weighs roughly the same as the original unit. The custom fuel tank is priced at Rs 32,000, excluding GST.
