Kawasaki Z650RS 2027 Launched in India at Rs 7.83 Lakh: What’s New?
Kawasaki has introduced the 2027 Z650RS in India, but buyers should not expect any major updates with the latest model-year version. The motorcycle continues with the same price of Rs 7.83 lakh (ex-showroom) and retains the same design, features, engine and colour option as before. The only notable change is the addition of the ‘2027’ model-year tag on Kawasaki’s official website.
Key Highlights:
Kawasaki Z650RS continues in India at Rs 7.83 lakh (ex-showroom).- The 2027 model gets no mechanical, feature or colour changes.
- It is powered by a 649cc parallel-twin engine producing 67bhp and 64Nm.
- The neo-retro motorcycle gets traction control, dual-channel ABS and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Kawasaki Z650RS: Engine and Performance
The Z650RS continues to use a 649cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 67bhp and 64Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The motor is tuned for smooth and linear power delivery, making the motorcycle suitable for everyday riding while retaining enough performance for highway use. The bike is based on a lightweight trellis frame.
Kawasaki Z650RS: Design
The biggest talking point of the Kawasaki Z650RS remains its neo-retro styling. It gets a round LED headlamp, twin-pod instrument console, teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a single-piece seat integrated with a compact tail section.
The golden alloy wheels add to its retro-inspired appearance. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels at both ends, keeping the overall design and stance similar to the existing model.
Kawasaki Z650RS: Suspension and Braking Hardware
The Kawasaki Z650RS is equipped with 41mm telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear. The motorcycle also gets dual-channel ABS and traction control, adding electronic safety features to its retro roadster package.
With no changes for the 2027 model year, the Kawasaki Z650RS continues with the same mechanical package and styling as the outgoing version. The new model-year designation appears to indicate that Kawasaki plans to keep the motorcycle on sale in India for another year.
