Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Launched In India With Level 2 ADAS: Price, Engine, Specs And More
Volkswagen India has introduced the new Tiguan R-Line SUV at an introductory price of Rs 48.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The third-generation model, based on the MQB EVO platform, brings updated features in safety, technology and performance, with deliveries beginning on April 23, 2025.

Volkswagen India has launched the new Tiguan R-Line as its top-spec SUV offering in the country. It is based on the MQB EVO platform, the vehicle is part of the third-generation Tiguan range and is now available for bookings through Volkswagen dealerships and the brand’s official website. The Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line is priced at Rs 48,99,900 (ex-showroom) and deliveries will begin on April 23, 2025.
Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line: Engine, Transmission, and Drive Modes
The Tiguan R-Line is powered by a 2.0L TSI EVO petrol engine, producing 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox and features Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. The SUV also comes with Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC Pro) and a Vehicle Dynamics Manager for improved stability and handling.
Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line: Safety Equipment and ADAS Features
The vehicle includes 21 Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features. Key highlights include:
- Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go
- Predictive speed limiter
- Autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection
- Lane keep assist, side assist, and rear traffic alert
- Park Assist Plus
- High-beam assist and dynamic cornering lights
- Advanced driver drowsiness detection
- Electronic parking brake with auto hold
- Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control
Additionally, the SUV comes with nine airbags, front and rear disc brakes and a tire pressure monitoring system. The model has received a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP.

On the inside, the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line features a 26.04 cm digital cockpit and a 38.1 cm touchscreen infotainment system. The multifunction experience switch with TFT LCD display allows access to various driving and infotainment settings.

Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line comes equipped with three-zone climate control, inductive smartphone charging and an IDA voice assistant for infotainment controls. It also features Park Distance Control and comfort seats with lumbar support and a massage function.
