Kia Carens Clavis Gets New Entry-Level Petrol and Diesel Automatic Variants Starting From Rs 14.67 Lakh

The Indian division of the South Korean automaker Kia has today expanded the automatic transmission lineup of the Carens Clavis MPV with the launch of new variants in the value-focused HTE range. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine is now available with a DCT gearbox on the HTE (EX) and HTE (O) variants, while the HTE (O) also gets a diesel-automatic option. With the launch of these new entry-level automatic variants the Carens Clavis automatic range has become more affordable and now starts at Rs Rs 14.67 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new automatic variants come equipped with an Automatic Pack. This includes a Smart Key with Motion Sensor, Push-Button Start, Drive Modes, Electronic Parking Brake and Remote Engine Start. Kia states that the additional automatic options are aimed at customers looking for greater convenience in everyday driving, particularly in urban conditions.

The Carens Clavis is now available with automatic transmission options across both turbo-petrol and diesel powertrains in the newly launched entry-level trims. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine gets a DCT gearbox on the HTE (EX) and HTE (O) variants. The 1.5-litre diesel engine gets an automatic transmission on the HTE (O) trim.
