The Indian division of the British automaker, Triumph has announced that the prices of its motorcycle range in India will be revised from January 1st 2026. The company stated that current ex-showroom prices will remain applicable until December 31st 2025. The exact percentage of the price hike has not been revealed by the company yet.
The announcement follows recent changes under the revised GST structure, which places motorcycles with engine capacities above 350cc in a higher tax bracket. Triumph’s India portfolio, including its entry-level 400cc models, falls within this category. Despite the higher tax liability, Triumph chose to not increase the prices immediately and had absorbed the impact, but this is set to end this calendar year, with the price hike scheduled to come into effect from 2026.
Triumph currently retails its motorcycle range in India through a partnership with Bajaj Auto. This alliance is operational from 2023 and it has aided the introduction of locally produced mid-capacity motorcycles such as the Speed 400, Scrambler 400 X and others. These models are manufactured in India and positioned below the brand’s larger capacity offerings, which include the Bonneville, Street Triple, Speed Triple and Tiger series.
According to the company, buyers can continue to purchase motorcycles at existing prices until the end of the calendar year. From January 2026, revised pricing will be implemented across the range, including the 400cc lineup that comprises the Speed 400, Speed T4, Scrambler 400 X and related variants. Triumph has indicated that the updated prices will be announced closer to the effective date.
The price revision aligns with a broader trend in the Indian automotive market, where several manufacturers have announced increases ahead of the new year, citing higher input costs and regulatory changes. Customers planning to buy a Triumph motorcycle may factor in the announced timeline while making purchase decisions.
Manik Nangia, President, Probiking, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said,” The company emphasizes its commitment to providing premium quality products and services to its dealers and customers. Customers planning to purchase a Triumph motorcycle are encouraged to take advantage of the prevailing prices by completing their purchases before the end of December 2025.”
