Tata Aeris Cabin Teased Ahead of India Launch Tomorrow with 360-Degree Camera, Floating Touchscreen and More
Tata Cars formerly known as Tata Motors has dropped a new teaser of the interior of the upcoming Aeris sub-compact sedan ahead of its India launch on September 25th 2026. The Aeris is the new product name for the Tigor facelift. The latest teaser released by the automaker reveals the cabin with a new dashboard, a new rotary drive selector and paddle shifters, indicating that the automatic version of the Aeris will get a different transmission interface compared to the outgoing Tigor.
The upcoming Aeris gets a redesigned cabin with a digital instrument cluster, large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging and a 360-degree camera. The silhouette however remains unmistakable Tigor. This isn’t the first sub-compact sedan to be renamed in the segment, prior to this Hyundai had renamed the Xcent to Aura back in 2020.
Tata Aeris: Cabin & Features
The dashboard layout of the Aeris follows the same design philosophy as the Tiago. The latest teaser reveals the Aeris with a dual-spoke steering wheel, a fabric-style dashboard finish, a centrally mounted floating touchscreen infotainment system and a floating digital instrument cluster.
The touchscreen is expected to measure around 10.24-inch with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The cabin sports a beige and grey colour theme. The beige shade extends to the dashboard, door panels, pillars and seats; this is expected to add to the feeling of airiness in the cabin.
One of the notable features shown in the teaser is a large wireless charging tray that appears capable of accommodating two smartphones. The feature list also includes a 360-degree camera, cruise control and automatic climate control. The centre console gets cup holders and an armrest with additional storage.
Other features expected on the Aeris include Type-C USB ports, rear AC vents, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs and push-button start. The automatic version gets a rotary drive selector instead of a conventional gear lever. In the teaser paddle shifters are also visible behind the steering wheel.
Tata Aeris: Design
Tata Motors has previously revealed parts of the Aeris exterior through a series of teasers. The sedan gets a redesigned front fascia with slim LED headlamps and a narrow DRL positioned above them. LED fog lamps are also part of the updated lighting setup. At the rear, the Aeris gets redesigned tail-lamps. The sedan will also feature newly designed blacked-out alloy wheels and a new purple exterior colour.
Tata Aeris: Expected Powertrain
The Tata Aeris is expected to retain the Tigor's 1.2-litre petrol engine and the tune. The engine in the Tigor generates 84bhp and 113Nm of torque. Transmission options are expected to include a 5-speed manual, 5-speed AMT and a new automatic gearbox. The Aeris is also expected to be offered with CNG trims.
Tata Aeris: Expected Price
The Tata Aeris India launch is scheduled to take place tomorrow, i.e. September 25th 2026. The Aeris is expected to be introduced in an ex-showroom price range of Rs 5.49 lakh to Rs 9.29 lakh.
